Bliss Balls Recipe – for a quick healthy treat!
Everyone needs a little treat every now and then and this Bliss Balls recipe is one of our favourites. Loaded with antioxidants, minerals, protein and fibre they are great as a lunch box treat or as a 3pm pick-me-up!
12 medjool dates, deseeded and chopped
1/3 cup organic unhulled tahini
1 tablespoon chia seeds
3 teaspoons raw organic cacao
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup raw almonds
1..Whizz almonds in a food processor until finely chopped (there will also be powdered almond as a result) transfer into a bowl and set aside. .
2. Put remaining ingredients into the food processor and process until combined and smooth.
3. Roll into dessertspoon size balls, place on a tray and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
4. Remove from fridge and roll each ball in the crushed/powdered almonds.
5. Serve chllled or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. (Can also be frozen for up to 2 months).
